This current project is a 1940 19-1/2 foot Gar Wood runabout. To this point, it has recieved a new 5200 bottom with new white oak framing, keel and chines. As with previous restoration projects, the inner bottom is ocume marine plywood and the outer planking is mahogany. She will need some side and deck plank replacement, but framing appears to be sound. Power is a 125 HP Gray Marine 6 cylinder engine. More to come on this rare boat.
